Eco-Art Adventure Summer Camp started in 2004 and ran for ten consecutive years in New Albany, Ohio. Co-created by Kristy Venne and Summer Nosek, the camp began as a way to help young people build a relationship with nature by tapping into their natural curiosity and love of hands-on learning. Supported by the kind, generous, and knowledgeable William "Bill" Resch "The Nature Guy", the camp grew to serve over 1, 200 children, serving students in grades k-8 and employing many high school camp counselors.
Favorite art projects include berry bird paintings on handmade paper, solar art prints, clay turtles, tie-dye. Popular challenges include build-a-nest, finding frogs, and recycled robots. By far the adventure that was met with the most enthusiasm was vernal pool days where students got to explore wild wonders such as dragonfly larvae, tadpoles, diving beetles, water boatman, froglets, and more!
