The Early Lead Weekend Workshop is an interactive four-hour experience for young people ages 16–24. Participants will work alongside other motivated young adults as they build the skills and confidence to present themselves professionally and get ahead.

Participants will leave with:

• A stronger application, résumé, and cover letter
  Hands-on support turning experiences into a résumé and cover letter that communicates skills and strengths, tailored to job descriptions, and designed for online application systems.

• Job-Seeking Confidence
  Understand how the hiring process works, how to prepare, and navigate an often impersonal hiring process with stronger strategy and confidence

• A polished LinkedIn profile
  Build or improve a profile, learn how to create a professional presence online, and begin expanding one's personal network immediately.

• A 30-second personal pitch
  Learn how to answer “Tell me about yourself” with confidence and communicate who you are, what you bring, and where you’re headed.

• Real networking experience
  Practice introducing yourself, starting and ending conversations, asking good questions, listening well, making connections, and following up.

• Professional & dining etiquette
  A working lunch provides practical experience navigating meals, phones, conversation, and other expectations in professional settings.

• A strategy for building relationships and opportunities
  Learn about the value of mentorship, LinkedIn, attending professional events, volunteering, and other ways relationships can lead to internships, jobs, and new opportunities.

Participants should bring a laptop and a current resume, if available, and arrive dressed professionally for their headshot.

Coaching Options

Sometimes one conversation can create clarity. Other goals benefit from continued practice, feedback and accountability.

Early Lead coaching sessions are personalized, practical and designed around the participant’s immediate needs. Each 45-minute virtual session includes a brief advance intake, individual coaching, guided practice when appropriate, and clear next steps or resources to use afterward.
